We are very pleased to announce that Melanie Brooks has been promoted to Assistant Principal at CES.  Melanie is a graduate of Jacksonville State University.  There she received her BS degree in Early Childhood Education.  Melanie began her teaching career in the Haralson County School System.  She became part of the Trojan Nation in 1998. In her tenure at Carrollton Elementary, Melanie has taught kindergarten and third grade.  She helped to implement the Teaching Fellows Program at CES and has served on or chaired numerous committees.  Melanie returned to Jacksonville State in 2001 and graduated with her MS degree in Educational Leadership in 2003. Melanie is married to David Brooks.  They have two children Katey and Hannah.
