Academies at CES

At Carrollton Elementary School, we want every child to enjoy learning and discover what they're good at. That’s why we’ve created a special academy model that gives students a different focus each year—starting in kindergarten. These experiences are built into the school day and go hand-in-hand with what students are already learning in reading, math, science, and social studies.

Here’s what the academy focus looks like by grade:

Kindergarten – Dual Language (Spanish): Students learn in both English and Spanish to build strong language skills early.

1st Grade – Performing Arts: Kids get to explore music, movement, and creativity in fun, hands-on ways.

2nd Grade – Citizenship: Students learn what it means to be kind, responsible, and helpful at school and in the community.

3rd Grade – STEM: Through fun experiments and projects, students dive into science, technology, engineering, and math.

This model gives every child the chance to explore new interests and build confidence along the way.
